Well, when the weatherman announced that we might see snow today, no one in my family believed it. So, imagine our surprise when big, fluffy flakes started falling from the sky today at around noon! Inspired, I got out my mixer and rolling pin and developed a new gf, dairy, soy, nut and egg-free shortbread. It was a fun project to do with the girls while we watched the white stuff piling up on the windowsill. The decorating frosting can be found in my new book Allergy-Free Desserts, and though the vanilla shortbread recipe won’t be in the book, there is a great chocolate version of the same recipe. Snow, cut-out cookies and a wreath on our door: it’s the holidays, and I’m officially excited about it!
SNOW!
